Do remember that it was grand-dad's advice that scuppered dad's F1
career...

Ah, but he's older now, And certainly mellowed more. I saw a doc a *while*
back - the IMAX thing - about some people finding one of Mario's old race
cars and restoring it to give to him. Right at the end Mario hops in,
turns onto the highway (in an single-seater mind you), and drives off
waving to people he sees. Anyone else anywhere else and they'd have all
the state troppers in the state afrter him. Had to be staged I figure.

He did the last two A1GP races. I think Daddy runs the USA team. So,
where ever he is living, Dads not far behind.

Yeah, speed was good enough to show a brief synopsis of the 2008 season a

while back (forget about the actual races). I see Hinchcliffe is doing
well in Formula Atlantic now. Saw an SCCA finals the other day - the stock
touring cars. One guy paid $5000 for his car and was in the final race.
Best racing I've seen in a while with no contact - well nothing that
mattered.

He's just signed for another season of IRL with Daddy's team. Until he
drives for someone other than family we will never really know if he's
any good. Time is slipping by though.

Indeed. I kinda feel for him being under the shadow of the family. That
pressure alone would be immense.

Also, I wonder how much having the son in the team compromises the other
drivers in that team? Not because he is crap, but there must be a 'Lewis'
effect.
