I've been battling with this for about a week now.
If anyone has any advice on the following, you could just about save my life.
Originally I tried to sync my new Blackberry Bold with Pocketmac & Entourage 2008. I'd literally upgraded my 2004 to 2008 at the same time too.
Anyway, after a lot of sweat and stress, I realized that 2008 & the blackberry were not compatible.
So then, I decided to downgrade back to 2004. Realising that I couldn't use just use the same Microsoft Office Database of 2008 for 2004, I had to just bite the bullet and use a previously backed up version of 2004 database..
So, what I'm getting are the following:
(remember I have 2008 still installed, as I want to use word & Excel)
so, on boot up of my Mac, I notce the 2008 office notification comes up? any way to stop this?
Also, MY DAY pops up and I quit it.
Then, on boot up of 2004, I get this message:
An unknown error (4362) occurred. I then OK that, and I am still able to use Entourage.
I rebuilt the database, but its still happening, in fact, it initially asked me to rebuild again for some reason.
Once I can figure out how to get through teh above issues, I am going to attempt to install Pocketmac, presuming, it can sync Entourage with my Blackberry Bold?
Thanks for your time.
Going back to 2004 won't solve your sync issue. Both 2004 and 2008
have sync issues which Microsoft is aware of. I use Missing Sync from
Markspace with my BLACKBERRY Curve and my Palm TX and both work well.
I read a Bold user over on the Markspace forum got his Bold to work
with Missing Sync. Tech and the forums are very responsive there.
You will encounter sync issues using either Entourage - dups etc.
Sync'g one module only is the only way I've found to produce reliable
sync's (I've written about this extensively here and other forums). If
you find this too much hassle and some users do, even though it isn't
as powerful you might want to just use the Apple apps and say
Markspace's own Notes app which is fine. They also sync with Yojimbo
notes but users over on the forums seem to be having trouble with this
app.
Anyway, good luck.
