I am having difficulties importing my data to 2008 from Entourage X. I get
two error messages (-40) and (2). Has anyone else has this problem and how
did it get resolved?

These errors indicate disk problems. This can be very serious.

Error -40 is a positioning error (tried to position before start of file).
This might indicate file system corruption. Try running Apple's Disk
Utility: First Aid and repairing the disk till it shows clean.

I've had one client that had this problem and wasn't even able to copy the
database to an external drive. I suggest you backup all your data to another
hard drive NOW.

You will need to export your data from Entourage X as MBOX files and your
contacts as a tab delimited file for import into Entourage 2008.

How to manually move your data. (when import fails and/or you need to move
to a new Identity same version or revert to an older version)

You don't give any info on what version of the OS you are using, but if your
drive will repair without errors, you might need to do an "Archive &
Install".

Hope this helps!
