An important question is "How much shaking up do the
Cubs need?" IMRHO not much. Their complete collapse
against the Dodgers was an aberation. It's happened
before in the post-season to many very good teams.

Cuban buying the Cubs would mean more headlines and
more pizzaz. But, his heckling of Basketball refs
makes Earl Weaver and Billy Martin look like guys who
can keep their cool.

Keep in mind that the amount of money he has been
fined by the NBA, he could finance a Triple-A
franchise for a year or two.

The biggest problem is Commissioner Kevorkin and his
buddy Jerry Reinsdorf. The former has the integrity
sewer rat with rabies and the latter does not want
anyone with deep pockets running up salaries.
