I upgraded my operating system to Snow
Leopard last week, installed the latest
Developer Tools (Xcode 3.2.1) for MacOS 10.6,
and attempted to update Fink using
the instructions on the Fink home page
(2009-08-28: Fink on 10.6.).

I have edited the /sw/etc/fink.conf as suggested
and have run index.
Here is the result of the attempt:

Installing the new fink package failed. The description and the tarball were
installed, though. You can retry at a later time by issuing
the appropriate fink commands.

provide the correct path as a parameter to this script

Yes, it requires that I use sudo.

First of all, if it were me, I'd wipe /sw and and ./bootstrap from the
downloaded tarball because that is easy enough. You might try 'fink
rebuild fink' but I wouldn't count on that getting you around the perl

This line number shows that the fink that is executing these commands is
not the new 0.29.10, but some old 0.27 version. Are you sure you ran
../inject.pl from the fink-0.29.10 directory?
